Basic

Get off the ground! In basic flight training you’ll learn how to fly an aircraft, and gain the qualifications you need to pursue your career as a pilot. CPL – IR – UPRT – MCC – Frozen ATPL are all terms that may not make sense to you at the moment. These are the ratings you will acquire in the course of training in order to subsequently take your place in the cockpit.

In Basic, you’ll gain the skills for these ratings:

CPL

A commercial pilot license (CPL) is the minimum requirement to act as a professional pilot.

IR

An instrument rating (IR) allows you to conduct flights under sole reference to airplane instruments.

UPRT

The upset prevention and recovery training (UPRT) course prepares you to avoid and recover from critical situations.

MCC

An multi crew cooperation (MCC) course is a requirement to be accepted in a type rating course for a commercial airplane.

ATPL

An airline transport pilot license (ATPL) is the highest level of aircraft pilot license. With this license you can act as commander in commercial air transport.

“Frozen” ATPL

A frozen ATPL is a CPL with passed theoretical training for ATPL.
